YHRC Nepal, as a registered non-profit, non-government and non-political organization actively engaged in promotion of human rights education, working particularly among youth to promote the respect, recognition and protection of the individual and collective rights and running activities at the national level for peace, tolerance and tranquility. The purpose YHRC Nepal is to teach youth about human rights, specifically the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and inspire them to become advocates for tolerance and peace. YHRC Nepal organizes campaigns and awareness programs with human rights conference, trainings and vocational trainings by including hundreds of groups, clubs and chapters around the nation. YHRC Nepal Internship Program will serve as an alternative strategy in equipping youth graduates, especially those from socially excluded or marginalized groups, with the right knowledge and skill. The program intends to shape and sharpen young and energetic graduates into high performing; value oriented and committed development professionals. This program is being carried out in various cities and villages in Nepal through the combined efforts of Youth for Human Rights International Volunteers in Universities, colleges and Schools as well asare providing internship placement with human rights workshops, conference and trainings to the BASW, BSW and Law students.

OBJECTIVE OF INTERNSHIP

YHRC Nepal Internship program is to provide an experience that is mutually beneficial to both the Intern and organization. This partnership is intended to create the ultimate human rights educational experience, and provide an opportunity to build capacity of students belonging to socially excluded or marginalized groups, to transfer and apply the knowledge and theory gained in the high school/ university to an actual agency/organizational environment, where the students can practice skills, apply knowledge, and test theories and concepts under the guidance and supervision of experienced professionals.

INTERNSHIP ELIGIBILITY
The internship program is open to:

Individuals who are at least 18 years old i.e. students coming out of other institutions, who have limited or no work experience.

Good communication skills in both English and Nepali.

Individuals enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate academic program.

Individuals interested in working in a non-governmental institution with social development and humanitarian objectives.

​Priority Applicants

Any Individuals belonging to any of the socially excluded or marginalized groups (including religious, caste, ethnic and other minority groups) with relevant academic qualification.

Individuals who will help YHRC Nepal’s aim of spreading human rights across Nepal for peace and tolerance.

PAYMENTS AND BENEFITS
As per the internship policy of YHRC Nepal, intern should have registered paying certain fees and No benefits will be paid beyond the YHRC Nepal internship policy.
